Art. 21.

forward to the Department of Communications and Public Works a copy of its

teriffs in force, and will do so whenever they undergo any alteration.

The Company will be authorized to collect freight either by

weight or by volume, on the understanding that the ten tons, free, of

freight will be computed at the rate of 2204 English pounds per ton when charging by weight, and at the rate of 40 English cubic feet per ton when

the charge is by volume.

With the exceptions set forth in this contract, the Company's

steamers will be subject to all the laws and Regulations in force on

Waritine traffic of the Mexican ports, whether ocean or coastwise traffic,

as the case may be, and also to the Sanitary Regulations.

Art. 24.

In order to guarantee the fulfilment of the obligations which

the Company assumes under the present contract, it deposits a sum of three

Art. 25.

I.

This Contract will be forfeited:

For suspending the traffic for more than three consecutive months without a justified cause that is acceptable to the Department of Communi-

cations and Public Works.
